1. Introduction
This tutorial
covers the construction of HICF fingerprint maps within FPC v8,
and the automatic end-merging of contigs. Both of these involve
new features added to v8 to facilitate construction of the AGI/PGIR
Maize HICF map.
At this point, you should download the demo files
from here. To
unpack, type
tar xzvf hicf_auto.tar.gz
This will create a directory called hicf_auto_demo that contains two
subdirectories, hicf and auto.
